I've been testing out this light on my YT channel "justintime2grow". You can check out my unboxing and PAR testing video there. So far I've been using this light to veg in a Mars 2x4 tent. It's working GREAT! I actually had to raise the light up because it was brighter than expected. It covers a 2x4 for veg pretty well but I wouldn't go too much larger than 2x2 for flower, maybe 2x3 but that would be pushing it to get decent sized solid nugs. Video attached of it in my 2x4 Mars tent.
MARS-HYDRO TS 1000 LED GROW LIGHT BRIGHTNESS TESTDISTANCE: 12” - 4,150 LUXDISTANCE: 18” - 2,160 LUXDISTANCE: 24” - 1,450 LUXPros:Attractive and efficient designBright, white, full spectrum lightVery efficient (PPE: 2.3umol/j)Coverage: 3'X3' veg, 2.5'x2.5' flowerLow temp outputVery affordable at under $150Cons:Instruction manual sparse and unclearOverall rating: 5 Stars - A full spectrum bargain led light with a lot of bright white bang for the buck!
Loving this light so far. It does come with all the goodies to get you started. The light is lightweight, has no fans to make noise. You can fully adjust the wattage used so you can do seedlings. It wasn't in the instructions on how to do it but I figured it out and showed how on YouTube. You can dial it down to 38 watts or up to 164 watts. The white light does not hurt my eyes at all like other grow lights. Easy to hang but I suggest getting another yoyo hanger to keep it in position. I'm growing hydroponic lettuce to see how it goes but I already know by experience that it will do good.

Bought this product about a month ago and despite some poor reviews on VIVOSUN bulbs, I purchased them anyway. I am pleased thus far with the setup but today the MH bulb caught fire and burned out when I turned it on. Like many people, I have this connected to an auto timer and are just lucky I have been watching over everything or may have been much worse. DO NOT SUGGEST bulbs, only got about a month of use out of the 600W MH.***UPDATE - 9.23.17 - Manufacturer did reach out to me directly and offered to completely replace the bulbs for free. They let me know that they have redone their bulbs recently for a more reliable product. Received both in the mail shortly and haven't had any issues since then. Thank you VIVOSUN for your great customer service!
wow! This thing rocks. It comes with everything you need to get it going fast. I'm no talking about a bunch of cheap crap that will just get you going and need to be replaced soon. The timer is the best I have ever used. The bulbs are bright and even come with cotton gloves to install them. The ballast come with rubber feet to lessen vibrations and only uses 634 watts at full tilt. My girls have never been soo happy, I swear I can hear them growing. Update: 4 months in. No problems, very happy, would recommend to a friend.
I initially ordered the ipower 400 watt cool tube grow light set but had to return it because it was tripping the GFCI breaker in my garage. I contacted ipower about this and they said the light was not designed for GFCI (however, I was not convinced they knew what they were talking about).Anyways, I decided to order from a different manufacture and opt for more wattage and was elated to see it worked as described. I ran a test of the light over a 2 hour period in my 24x48x68 tent and recorded how the light affected humidity and temperature levels as I manipulated the ballast through each of its three power levels. The ballast stayed cool and the power cords for both light and ballast are long enough where an extension cord should not be needed. The ballast can adjust the light intensity at 250, 400, or 600 watts. I like the design of the hood which has a glass bottom and 6 inch openings at each end for ducting. My inline fan is 4 inch so I ordered 2 of the Broan 475B 6 inch to 4 inch duct reducers to hook up the carbon filter and fan to both ends of the lighting hood. The grow light seems quite large in contrast to the HPS bulb. The light comes with rope ratchets to raise and lower the light and while they work very well, their design is slightly flawed since it interferes with attaining optimum height in the tent by a few inches. Here is an update after 4 months of continuous use...Item has worked as anticipated. At 250W, there is negligible heat increase in the tent. At 400W and about 16 inches from the plants, heat in the tent measures 7 degrees more than ambient room temperature. Temperature readings are taken at the canopy level. I have not used the 600W setting.

Works great was worried about quality at the price but its extremely nice made of metal and the leds have a clear piece of glass over them to protect from damage as well as 2 cooling fans. Ive had no issues at all running it 24hr/7 days a week for 3 months
This is a good size for a really good price. It will definitely need help in a bigger space but it is bright and nice and warm to be under. Idk if it's as bright as other 1000w lights, but it's pretty hot to hold your hand in front of it. I do know that the cord is 5 feet long and everything seems well built. The pully is difficult to adjust but holds the rope in place well. I didn't measure but it hangs down little over a foot from where you hang it from. You get what you need for a good price, can't complain. No Daisy chaining tho. It also makes some noise but it isn't bad.
I would recommend this light for any new grower or a seasoned veteran. The light is really bright, the fan's addre really quite and my "girls" cannabis plants just love it! One of the best things about this light is that it Does Not put off alot of heat which is one of the biggest obstacles any grower will have! If you buy one, you will not be disappointed! I will be buying another 1! This light will give you the biggest bang for your buck!

I just received the Sunraise 1000W LED unit to replace the 300W LED I currently have in my 2x4 grow tent. I only grow speciality hot peppers but the review is relevant for any use. While I have only have had the unit for a short time so far it appears to be built better and has several features others do not. A few features to highlight... 1. energy effecient - unit uses 165w per hour while my 300w uses 140w and my 600w uses around 265w. 2. dual fans - This is the only unit of the three that has 2 fans which should keep the grow tent cooler and extend the LED's life. 3. triple chip LED's - Most other units have single or dual chip LED's. This has 15W triple chip which should put out about 50% more light per LED vs dual chip and double single chip. 4. It come with an adjustable rope hanger. The only of my three units that came with one so didn't have to spend extra $ to buy one separately. Saves you $5-10 vs most other units.I'll update this after a few weeks to let you know how my plants have responded to the change. Please like my post, happy growing and be well.
UPDATE: I wanted to update my previous review because my opinion of this light has changed - it's better than I said it was! I used this light alone in a tent with seedlings. I've never had such beautiful little plants. I had been using TWO 1000W King LED lights for seedlings and early growth plants. Never again. This SUNRAISE LED light is now my go-to brand.I have also purchased very expensive Platinum LED lights. They are excellent lights. But the SUNRAISE lights appear to be at least the equal to the expensive Platinum lights & at a fraction of the cost.If you're looking to start using LED lights, I don't know a better light to buy. If you're looking to expand your LED use, do yourself a favor & give SUNRAISE a try. You will not regret it!!Opening the box I could see how well the light was packaged. There was little chance of the light being damaged & mine was in perfect shape. I was pleasantly surprised to find an adjustable pulley inside - I have previously had to buy pulleys separately - nice touch. It has two buttons on the end - one marked "Veg" & one "Bloom". I have a picture of the light in my tent not turned on. The first picture with the light turned on is with the "Veg" button only. The second (red) picture is with only the "Bloom" button used. The last picture has both the "Veg" & "Bloom" button turned on.I've been using the light for about a week & I can see a noticeable improvement in my plants. Branches are stretching towards the new light very obviously. This is the sixth LED grow light I've bought from vendors on Amazon.. The first five were from 2 different companies. This light is as well-constructed as I have seen & easily the equal of a light I own that cost 3 times the price of this one from SUNRAISE. The light appears to be strong &, as I said, the plants are responding positively after only a few days. This is a first-class LED grow light. I got it with Black Friday prices & it was a major bargain at just under $100. I don't expect we'll see this light at this price again any time soon. I may get another one, now that I've seen how good this one is.
I like to keep trying to improve my lighting and decided to try this light. It came in very well packaged from Amazon. It is smaller than my other 1000 watt light but is just as bright. It came with everything needed to setup a nice tent system. My only knock is with the hangers . The metal clip used to attach to the light is too small for me. My fingers need more room to push it into the hole provided on the light. If they could provide a little larger clip, I would love it. I've been running it in my small 4x2 tent and my plants seem to be enjoying the light. I turned on the Veg(red) light just for the picture because I'm not ready to send them to their next stage of life. The price for this light was very reasonable. It doesn't produce any heat that would stress out the plants and as I said, came with everything I needed for setting it up.Lights continue to evolve and I'm sure that I'll be adjusting as my needs change but for now, this light is doing a great job! I would recommend this light for an indoor tent grower! Happy New Year!

Extremely unhappy with this product. After using these lights for 4 grow cycles, 2 rows of legs went out and a few days ago, the cooling fans are buzzing so loud that I can't use the light anymore. Will be attempting to contact seller to see if there is a resolution.**UPDATE**I contacted the seller after writing this review. They responded back within 24 hours and were willing to work with me. After a day or so about discussing replacement options, they agreed to send me a replacement light. No complaints and their customer service redeemed the faulty unit. Thank you!
Being quite skeptical about cheap, LED lighting I bought 2 of these for supplemental lighting for my medical plants. I already have HID, UV and UVB lighting so I wanted the LEDs for many reasons. I wanted to get a more full spectrum in my room, thus reaping many benefits, also wanted an increase in yield and or resin production as well as aroma, and I wanted to see how effective the LED was compared to say HID. I was pleasantly surprised to notice a slight increase in all of these things. As others have mentioned, when they say 1200 watts, this is definitely not going to perform like even a 1000 watt HID. That being said, they cover about a solid 3x3 area (diffuse maximum efficiency for Sq. footage at 4x4 or more) and are more like a 600 watt HID equivalent in applicable use. I plugged both in on an 18hr timer and barely noticed an increase in electric. They're very quiet, durable (took a couple drops with no issues) and didn't seem to dull out. Bright enough to overpower my grow rooms red/orange glow, to a very bright blue-ish, orangish, purple. Very bright when you walk in. They don't throw much heat at all and even with the LED 4-5 inches from my plant (single plant abuse test) there were no ill effects, much like flourescent or CFL, it has to be almost touching to burn. Even in flower, I found 6" from the plant for a week, let rest and repeat gave a noticeable increase in trichome production. At this range it is reall only a single plant light but is quite powerful and penetrating.RECOMMENDATIONS:-Small indoor plants-Small Closet grow-Supplemental lighting (3x3 maximum efficiency)-Full spectrum application (4x4 or 5x5...cost effective)DO NOT buy this expecting 1 of these lights to bring 2,3 or 4 full sized plants to harvest and be happy. You will be disappointed. This is a great SUPPLEMENTAL light! Or small plants. It's maximum grow efficiency is only 3x3 or 4x4 max so if you want to cram 3-4 small SMALL plants in a tent and run it, you may be okay with a shorter veg.A slay of a deal for 100 bucks honestly! 👍
So my first time with a grow light. Previously relied on the sun. Old led technology I think got a bad rap but it was probably deserved. The proof is in the results, regardless of what supporters or naysayers may tell you. I had this in a 3x5 tent with two girls. First of all, I bought the 1200 Watt model, and I found out what light burn is all about. I had to get it within 6" of the top of my tent to give it proper spacing to my canopy. Even then, way overkill for that size tent. The 600 W unit would have sufficed. Certainly no fault of the light. It performed flawlessly. On a 12/12 schedule it bumped my electric bill about 9-10 dollars a month. It is whisper quiet. Barely any noticeable heat generation at all, eliminating the need for another ventilation system just for the light. It is a fairly heavy unit for it's size, testament to it's rugged construction. It feels like you got something for your money. I left it running with all lights going for the entire grow. I finished off with heavy and very dense flowers that were beautiful. WAY better results than I ever got from the sun. I pondered LED vs. other lights for a long time. Most fellow farmers told me they wouldn't do as good a job and were a waste of money. I don't have money to waste, but the low price of this unit certainly made the gamble a lot more palatable. And it paid off well. You won't be disappointed!
