These subs hit extremely hard! I am powering two of these with a dB15 6000 watt Rockville amp and they work great. It is crazy how big the magnets are on these and the amount of air they move. I am running these in a party bus, and I have customers every rental tell me how great the sound system is. I would recommend Rockville amps and speakers to anyone.
I have a infinite baffle firing through the oem ski pass in a 2005 lexus is300, it beats hard with the rms gain set just below 500watts 2 ohms. Before I had a kicker L5 square 12. The rockville K6 just sounds better and now the whole car shakes. All rockville system with rockville 5 channel phenom amp powering everything (7 speakers). All rockville all legit and confirmed by friends.
The sub sounds great and seems to be awesome quality but... It reads 3.2 ohms on a multi-meter and when i try to wire it to 1 ohm it reads 2.3 (ive tried different multi meters hoping mine was reading wrong but sadly all said the same) so i cant get full power out of my amp. But atleast it still thumps.

If a entry level sub is what your looking for then this is it.They are highly overrated but have good SPLThe speaker is supposed to be rated for 500rmsI would safely run 150-200 RMS into the pyle power subwoofer. I attached a picture below to show comparison of a true 800 RMS speaker to the speaker being reviewed.
I put these in some old Radio Shack (They used to have quality components, 30 years ago, the approximate age of these) Optimus dual channel sub-woofers I got at a second hand store. The old speakers had been used so much that the foam around the cones had started to dissapear and had large areas just open. These old puppies worked very well anyway, or so I thought. I accidentally ordered these 15 inch sub-woofers instead of 12 inches, and I had to cut the openings out to get the big Thunder Lizards in. The sound is very clean, and these vastly outperform the older speakers. I now know what the songs I listen to should sound and feel like. I anticipate being able to annoy neighbors up to a quarter mile away with these, I usually make sure my near neighbor is at work before blasting Techmaster PEB or Beat Dominator or Lduk Imperial March Remix or even Let's All Chant. I hope there is a lowered pickup driving nearby when the minions of the law pass through my neighborhood to spare me a disturbing the peace ticket when I am using these new monsters. These are the best sub-woofers I have ever owned and operated ever. I am very pleased with them. 10/10 I would buy them again, and assuredly will if I can find a place to fit some in my car.
EDIT****Ok, so i wound up putting this on a 3kwatt max amplifier that is capable of sub ohm driving. A big boy amp. i tried it out with a 6" sub from the same series, but in a custom ported box tuned for 55hz. I ran the 8 in a tube enclosure that is about a cubic inch too small. I hooked it all up in parallel so that it dropped down to a single ohm. I ran the amp just shy of half way and it rocked my world for about 10 mins. The 6 whoomped out completely, the 8 handled it like a champ. I felt like i was gunna have a heart attack. The bass was more than i expected from this combination. Now i run just the 8 in a sealed enclosure at about a third of the max volume of the amp. im putting something like 250-270 watts rms through ust the 8 at 2 ohm and its perfect. put a little bump at 100hz and a +6db curve peaking at 50 hz and its perfect. This sub is good, you just need decent equipment and a good tune when you run it. I will update if i blow it up.i actually ended up warping the basket and now the 6" woofer rattles like a sumbitch, but it technically didnt blow. Im super surprised it didnt catch fire. Im now running a re-coned dvc dual voice coil that does like 800 rms with the boss 8inch sub. got something like 600 watts average on the terminals @.97 ohms. its enough to take your breath away in my old single cab ford. The 6 is an interesting sub. I never actually blew it up, it just warped itself under heavy load. I never would expect this from such an inexpensive sub. im going to order another, but its going in a home audio project where it will never see over 100W. They capture bass that is perfect for classic rock and other types of music that use a more tighter sounding kick drums. If you put juice on it in the 60-100 hz range it really kicks hard, so hard it will warp the actual basket. If you are trying to get heavy hits, i would recomend the 8" or bigger. Im 5"9' and i can comfortably fit an 8" tube enclosure behind my seat and drive my single cab 5-speed. The 10 i have in there now sits on the passenger floor lol. no riders for the sake of bass!

At first, this sub was disappointing, but after a couple of weeks of breaking in, and tweaking my gains and bass boost, this sub sounds great. It replaced my Powerbass 15, which sounded alright, but it would distort at higher volume levels. This sub doesn't distort, but it also doesn't hit lows as well as other 15s I've owned. To me, the Alpine SWR 15 is the best sub I've owned, but I recently bought a new car and the alternator and battery couldn't handle the power drain, and I didn't feel like doing a big three upgrade, so I opted to downgrade to a less power hungry setup. This sub only requires 250 RMS, which is low for a 15. The sensitivity is relatively low though, which means it actually takes a little extra power to get the most out of it. I'm running it on an Alpine 500 watt RMS monoblock. It seems to hit the sweet spot in terms of power. That may be double the recommended RMS, but with voltage loss and a amp efficiency accounted for, it actually suits this sub well. Plus it's always better to overpower a sub rather than underpower it. One thing I've noticed is that the the word Punch describes this sub perfectly. While it doesn't hit lows as well as other subs, it definitely offers a punchy, chest pounding sound. I listen to mostly metal music, so this is a welcome change from subs I've owned in the past. The sound is tight and focused. It never seems like the sub can't keep up with the beat, which is often a problem with 15 inch subs. I love pulling up to wanna-be gangsters listening to rap while I'm drowning out their garbage with death metal. All in all this is an awesome sub for the price. If you're looking for a sub that hits lows though, you'll be a little disappointed. I chose to go with a ported box for this sub, and the port and dimensions all match Rockford's recommended specs. This sub might hit lows better in a box tuned to a lower frequency. Get this sub is you want an inexpensive sub with a tight, punchy, focused sound.
Love these speakers. Great bass hits hard at all volumes planning on buying a second one
I will always live by Rockford fosgate, I have many of their products!

This 10inch sub is super loud in a 1.8 cuft vented enclosure. Like....reaaaaaally loud. I had to turn my gains down so I could hear my mids. The only problem I have is the response is not quite what I had expected. I might try throwing this sub in a smaller box and see if that helps, or maybe even into a sealed box. I am real finicky on my sound quality, and this has more output than the kicker Comp-R it replaced but worse response (and less SQ in my opinion). Other than that, the materials are of real good quality, with the exception of the tinsel leads. At this price point, I'm really not upset about this purchase at all. This would be great for someone who listens to a lot of rap music with long deep notes.
I did a lot of research before buying this. I wanted a single 15 with around 500W RMS, and needed it dual 2 ohm coils. Sure there are plenty of offerings from the major brands such as Alpine, Pioneer, Kicker etc but they all cost considerably more. And yes, there are a few gems out there in the budget brands we all love to knock, but I didn't feel like dealing with the trial and error of finding something decent. Scar has built a good reputation for quality speakers for any budget, and their amps are top notch, so I opted for this one. While I was waiting on it to arrive, I built the enclosure to spec according to Skar's website at just under 2 cubic feet using 3/4" MDF. The sub is being fed by a nice older Memphis-16MXA1.500, with the dual 2 ohm coils wired in parallel at 1ohm. There's not much to say other than it sounds good. Not just good for the money, I mean the quality is great. The output volume when matched with the mono block more than meet my expectations. I would buy this again without question, if I needed another one. I highly doubt it happens though, as I already get that "Damn kids these days" look from my neighbors when pulling out, and I'm in my 30s.
Built really well and is an attractive sub. Easy to wire in parallel for 2 ohms and I have it paired with an Alpine 500W mono amp which is also a good bang for the buck and a good match for this subwoofer. I'd purchase this again without hesitation.
