Scar Audio engineered the SDR-1X18D2 single 18-inch loaded vented subwoofer enclosure as a simplified option to add a competition-grade subwoofer system, without the guesswork involved in designing it from scratch. This loaded enclosure features one of our massive SDR-18 D2 1,200 watt max power...

This sub is bigger than my mini-fridge. Paired with a Rockville RPA-12 pushing 700w RMS per channel. I can't complain about anything considering the price. It's a great deal. Prime shipping, in two days, in-app real-time delivery tracking, and a 2 person delivery team. Package arrived completely damage free. Box was perfect and the subwoofer was well protected inside. Hick-hop, yee-haw!
For the price , incredible!!!Removed from my crew cabbecause it was too much bass !
Bought the 10" 600W RMS. Currently powering it with a Skar RP-800.1d.For the size I can say it hits hard enough. The box comes with spring loaded terminals, which makes installation pretty easy.Love its size. Even though it's a vented enclosure, I was able to install it in my 2012 Dodge Charger and still got plenty of room left.

The Skar Audio EVL-18 D2 18" dual 2-ohm subwoofer redefines the conception of low-end sound reproduction. The engineering that went into developing the EVL series is simply amazing, and it shows in the sound quality and performance that this subwoofer demonstrates. The EVL Series can deliver...

This DVC 6.5" sub sounds excellent in my DIY made portable Bluetooth speaker ammo can. I am running 100w + 100w into the speakers. I crossed over the Dayton Audio silk dome tweeters at 10 uF with twin 33 ohm resistors. Balances out the sound perfectly. I have been running the 6.5" DVC DS-18 style sub in these cans...I find that the Skar Audio is much better. It does have a lower SPL and less audible higher midtones vs the DS-18...but, it "sounds" so much better. Pure copper 2" voice coils and about 1" of rubber surround equates to better tonality. I am using a 2" bass reflex port with about 10" of tube inside the can. I am using a 10aH Dakota Lithium battery for power and included a couple USB QC3.0 sockets, 12v power socket, SAE 2-pin sidewall jack (for power/charging). Spent about $500 on this one...but, it sounds so lifelike and pure. I am noticing more "details" in the music...a key sign of the quality Skar Audio put into this 6.5" subwoofer. Not paid by them or Amazon for this review
I recently bought 3 of the Skar audio EVL 6.5. The only negative thing I have to say is wiring them due to the terminals is a pain in the ass. Bought the DVC 2 ohm and wired them in series (after bridging the subs) and running at 1 ohm. I have a Audiopipe APMI-1300 series amp powering them at around 750-800 watts and they hit hard. I would have never thought 3 6.5” subs would be so great but I’m loving my purchase. Friend and I built the box and it’s tuned for 35 hz. All around I’m loving the Skar subs. 9/10 would recommend. Only reason it’s not 10/10 is due to the terminals- hard to get to and wire.In the video I posted the first few seconds I was turning the head unit up to 15 which is plenty loud. It goes up to 40. I was also using my sons iPad connected to Bluetooth playing,“Got 160s by Aaron Bau” it’s a big playlist and it has songs playing anything from 24 hz and up. I chose the song oxycotton cause it hits hard. Video honestly doesn’t do it justice.
I have been Rockford Fosgate buyer since 1989. I just bought a new RF 500watt Amp and my RF DVC 4 ohm 15 inch RFP2215 subwoofer took the dirt nap after 15 years of hard use and 3 different vehicles. I wanted to replace it with another new RF SUB but a friend recommended SKAR. He said to give one a try since you can't go wrong with AMAZON so I did. I have all my speakers replaced in my Hummer H3 with Rockford Fosgate. So I installed the Skar Audio EVL-15 D4 15" 2500 Watt Max Power Dual 4 Ohm Car Subwoofer wired it for 2 ohm just like the Fosgate and the sound is unreal. The base is deep and you feel it shake your entire body not the normal thud in your chest it's earth shaking. If you are on the fence then fall this way.The speaker case is heavy duty. The cone and suspension are top notch. This sub should last a long time. I would recommend to anyone but seriously get a bigger amp. 500 watts isn't even warming this thing up.

I did not believe the hype but the Electro-Voice 200 - 18sp subwoofer is the real deal. Please see the attached picture. PICTURE explained: on the left is the Electro-Voice 200- 18 inch Subwoofer (EL SUB). On the right is a Peavey 15 inch Triflex Subwoofer. Although not a direct comparison, the EL Sub blows away the competition. I now know what deep bass is all about. Also, shout out and big thanks to the Digitaldjgear Team. They came through in all seller department requirements, i. e., from giving me a great price to also properly packaging the El Sub correctly with no damages. You couldn't ask for a better seller to buyer experience.P. S. SPEAKING of packaging, why remove a review star or two-- if a package arrives damaged. That's not the fault of the merchant.
At the start of my PA journey, the first gig I MC'd at had me plugging in the ouputs on my tiny mixer into a stereo receiver to use the built-in small speakers of the venue. Being able to influence everyone in attendance was so much fun, I wanted to do it again and again. At the next gig, someone lent me two different brand PA speakers. One of them was completely broken and didn't function, the other was on the fritz and barely worked. Basically, it was my same small mixer setup going straight to one 12" speaker. Sounded like crap, and wasn't even close to being loud enough. The shortcomings of that event motivated me to buy a pair of my own PA speakers. After a lot of research, I still had no idea what to get. With my price range, I went to a Guitar Center to hear their selection. The clerk played some speakers for me but of course the better sounding ones were too expensive. He then showed me two used EV ZLX-12P speakers that were discounted. Still a bit out of my price range, but I grabbed them anyways because he said they were better than the new ones that costed the same. With the DSP on the back with levels readout and simple adjustability, I can definitely say I liked these speakers a lot. They worked much better than expected at the next event, and I started to wonder what they would sound like with a sub after a friend suggested I get one.Once again, after a lot of research that was mostly in the EV line, I came upon this 18" sub and just went for it. With only a mixer feeding all three speakers, it sounded so much fuller and this was before any tweaking was done. There was no going back now!Our next event let me use the full 2.1 setup, and I really tried to push it with volume. It handled everything great, although it sounded a little top heavy with the two mains and one sub. I did turn the sub up 2db higher than the mains to help counter this.Using the same exact setup at home, I continued to explore the settings to tweak it out more. The sound was great, and after getting a DBX DriveRack PA2, the equalization and deeper tweaking made it sound quite incredible (to me, of course). Our next event is going to require me to split my two mains, which forced me into buying a second sub to have a main and sub at two different locations to provide even sound. The sub arrived last night and I immediately set it up at home to get the driverack to power the 2.2 setup. WOW what a difference two subs makes. The sound is so much fuller now, and very well balanced. It's no longer top heavy either and really kicks butt. The PA2 rack unit lets me turn it up much louder than I can stand at home, and I can't wait for the event this Saturday in the very large venue to open up the setup and blast it.The bluetooth connectivity is awesome as well, since I can group the subs in the app and do some basic controls. Mainly switching between music and club mode, depending on the song. I plan on experimenting with some subharmonic settings on the PA2 to get more out of the subs, and possibly upgrading the 12" mains to 15" EV ELX line speakers that also have the bluetooth capability.I'm still very new to all of this but it's been so much fun thus far. I am glad I am in the EV line of products, and don't see a reason to switch brands yet. All in all, these subs rock.
Love Love LOVE this sub!! It is sleek looking and EZ-PZ to move around. The sound is fantastic - I have had it paired with two different speaker sets (JBL EON 10s and RCF-525's) in different venues and the sound was awesome. So happy to not have to crank up the mains with this sub providing the 'punch' that rocks a dancefloor. Although I'm able to lift it in and out of my SUV, I do use a furniture dolly to transport it when on-site at a gig. I also purchased the accompanying cover to keep it looking nice and not all scuffed. As for a mounting pole, I did need to purchase one with an M20 mount.

I've been dabbling in car audio for about 17 years now and this is by far the best sub I have ever owned, it looks great the the basket is unique looking and the outer foam ring is very fat and large as well as thick and the spider is of higher quality as well and the dual tinsil leads are woven into the spider which is a big plus and the motor is sexy! I'm running mine inverted and it looks and performs great oh and it has a 3 inch coil vs my last that had a 2 1/2 and when I throw massive wattage to this for extended periods of time I never smell coil! I would highly recommend this sub and that goes for all skar products of which I own multiple of also this review is for the svc-18v2
I was running 2 skar vvx-8v3 in separate sealed boxes, powered by a skar SKv2-1500.1D, I was pleased, they could have been more and felt they should have done more, i always kept the amp turned down and the amount remote adjusted so the would not clip, i wanted them to last along time.Well i got about 10 months out of them, then all of a sudden one day one sub quit working under normal listening cruising down the interstate, later I checked the coils and one of the voice coils lost all resistance. So I decided to step up to a new pair of skar zvx-8 d4, I built a new pair of sealed boxes, got them set up and broke in, they were sounding really bad, and the longer I have them, the worse they sound, the vvx 8's sounded better and where harder than the zvx in "sealed" boxes, after many emails with skar and building 4 different pairs of boxes all sealed boxes, they got ahold of Shane and had him msg me, and his only his only response was to put in ported boxes to the exact box size and have it professional built by someone else.WTF, so I can custom build cabinets for million dollar houses and he doesn't think I can build a subwoofer box.His comments where really rude and made me quit mad.I do not want massive ported boxes, one of the main reasons I went with skar was the recommended sealed size, and ported boxes in my crossfire are not a option.I have had fir 6 months and guess what, they are still incredibly bad, and the worst I have ever had, and I even bought Amazon's 4 year warranty, but I can not stand these and really wanted to 🙁
More than what you need if you want a system that plays on volume 25/40 on your stereo with the occasional 35/40 volume turn up. Every one always thinks it’s a 12” or 2 10” subs till I show em it’s an 8!!! Sounds great down to 50hz any lower and it floods. Anything over 50-55hz to 120hz sounds impressive/clean/and powerful inside the cab/trunk. I also have 2 skar 15” subs. Love this brand, don’t let the negative reviews discourage you. Take the time to properly learn how to set your amp and sub up. Will not blow your windows out but will sure as hell rock your car with a good audiophile quality sound. This is a quality speaker and every speaker has its limits. Love your speakers and they’ll keep ya happy!
