I don’t believe this to be a genuine wicked wheel. Appears to be a cheap knock off. Came in a plain brown box and part number was different than the one on dieselsite. EDIT: I returned this product and ordered directly from dieselsite.com. This is definitely not a wicked wheel. See pics for comparison
Just received mine and it appears to be the knockoff or stock looking wheel that others had mentioned in the reviews. Plain box , which i thought was weird since i bought a Dieselsite Adrenaline hpop and that has stickers and logos. Also, this wheel looks like machined cast aluminum very similar to stock not billet. Not even wasting my time installing this.
Installed on a 2000 7.3 powerstroke in combination with an ATS ported housing. The combination of the two has completely eliminated my turbo surge issue, common on 7.3's. The turbo spool's up quicker, resulting in more low end and mid range power, maybe better described as "throttle response". If you are concerned with the noise generated from "turbo whine", aka, "turbo whistle", this probably isn't for you since it's much louder then the stock compressor wheel. I find it very appealing and now fully understand the compressor wheels name. It sounds absolutely WICKED!Free tip: If you do the install correctly, it requires removing the entire turbo. You can cut your install time in half by using a cordless or pneumatic ratchet for the turbo boots and clamps.

I'm so freaking pleased with this starter. I've got an 03 7.3 f350 4x4 with 6" lift and 37" tires, there was no modification to get this unit in place, it went right in with 0 space issues. I was shocked at how tiny the stock version was and wondered how it ever turned that motor over. The starter was shipped very nicely. Had all the parts and perfect instructions. The only mod I had to do was to bend the factory harness terminals flat so I could remount them. Once it was installed I couldn't believe how amazingly this thing cranked that giant motor. It sounds like my neighbors Cummins cranking over now.I bought this because my truck was having a hell of a time starting when it had sat for a while. I have 2 high end batteries that are about 2 years old but a motorcraft starter. After reading up on similar issues many people noted the starter replace mm was what helped. I looked starters up and found the mean green option which in my opinion is far too expensive. I then recalled a great alternator I had on my small block chevy from Powetmaster. Looked it up and found this awesome price on Amazon. It got here in 2 days and I had it installed in about an hour.I would recommend this starter to any and all 7.3 owners. Worth every freaking penny. Now my truck starts with a fury and even kinda sounds cool when the starter spools down. Great product!!!Also, if you're vascilating about stock vs. aftermarket I hope you understand this thing is far superior to the factory options. Spend the extra money and give your truck some love.
This starter is great! I'm really impressed with how much faster the engine cranks over now. It fit fine on a late 1999 f250 2wd with a 7.3l and a manual transmission with no need to clearance the cross member. The only modification needed was flattering out the 90 degree bend on the end of the battery cable. It fits using all 3 bolt mounting holes the original starter uses unlike some of the other starter options I’ve seen. The starter itself was coated in a heavy crinkle black paint, not bare aluminum like the picture shows. It came with new mounting bolts. I'll be putting this starter on a couple other 7.3's as well in the near future now that I've tried one out. I'll update this review if it ends up having any problems.Update 8/28/18. I installed another one of these starters on an early 1999 4wd 7.3l f250 with an automatic transmission. It works amazing as well. Fit perfect with no modification except flattening out the end of the cable were it attaches to the starter. It also came with the black wrinkle paint finish instead of the bare aluminum finish shown in the picture. It came with mounting bolts. The previous starter I installed in the other truck is still working perfectly. Cranks so fast it starts without letting the glow plugs warm up. You won’t regret this purchase.
I never thought I would get excited about a starter! My truck had been acting funny then the starter finally quit. Looked at all the options and the Powermaster seemed like the best starter for the money. Install took a little over an hour but it could go much faster if you have a good set of tool. Getting the top starter bolt out and back in can be a pain! Everyone said use a cut off combo wrench so I went straight for that method but had to cut a 17mm to get the old out and a 15mm to get the new back in. Still was a pain with the cut off wrench but found a socket with 6-8in extension and a ratchet worked much faster and would have knocked 30min off the job easy! I installed on a 99 F-250 superduty and man what a deference it makes! Truck spins twice as fast. Recommend over a renmaned started every time. No core charge, no junk China rebuild! Made in the USA. Much heavier than the stock and has a nice wrinkle black finish. Even came with a dino sheet for the part lol

Got this part hoping for great things to happen when I installed it in my truck. When I attempted to install it I could tell right away that something was not right as the chip would not seat on the circuit board properly. Upon examination I found one of the terminals on the chip was distorted which was not allowing it to fully seat. I attempted to return it to the seller but the 30 day return period had already passed. I contacted the manufacturer three times before I received a response that they had received the picture that I sent them three times. I was instructed to mail the part to them which I did. Three weeks later I emailed the representative that I spoke to on the phone and successfully emailed the picture to with no response. I phoned the next day to inquire as to the disposition of the warranty claim which he told me was denied because the damage occurred during installation or programming, all of which occurs outside of the manufacturing facility. I did the installation which was straightforward and simple and honestly I can't imagine how it could possibly have received the damage during programming. It would have to be deliberate in order for that damage to occur. They did offer to SELL me another one at a discounted price but quite frankly I would be a fool to throw good money after bad since the same thing could happen to me again. In my opinion it would be absolutely impossible for the defect to occur in either the programming or installation unless it was deliberate. I truly did not want to post this negative feedback but I have exhausted all options to settle my claim satisfactorily. This product may be a fantastic performer when it is right but if something is wrong with it customer support is pitiful and the warranty guarantee isn't worth the paper it is written on. Bottom line, I would say save yourself the headache and aggravation as well as the hole in your pocket. Don't purchase this product.
I did not know if this product would work well on my sluggish truck with 285k miles. I was getting about 12 mpg with 14 being my highest. After installing I tried driving on a slight incline keeping the accelerator where I was holding exactly 60 mph. I then switched on the fly from the stock to the 50hp increase setting. Without pressing any harder on the accelerator, the truck sped up to 70 mph. Then on a steeper incline I was maintaining 65 mph on the 50hp setting and then switched to the 140hp. Again without pressing the accelerator speed increased to 75 and was climbing so I had to let off. I bought this chip with the hopes of increasing mileage. My first tank I drove conservatively on the 50hp setting and averaged 17.6. My second tank I drove normally on the 75hp setting and averaged 14.2. The fact that I got such noticeable increases in power and mileage (over 25%) exceeded my expectations. The fact I can switch settings on this chip while driving is awesome and I am so glad I did not get one of those modules that plug into the OBD port instead. My truck is a 97 F350, but now it's drivability is much more similar to a newer diesel. I highly recommend anyone with an older diesel get one of these.
I'd give 100 stars if I could. I'm a gasoline guy, but just purchased my first diesel, a 2000 F250 4x4 Crew Cab with the famous 7.3. I got it cheap because it had 358000 miles on it, and lots of dents - perfect for driving around ranches where paint jobs won't be of any concern. I drove it from Houston to San Antonio and checked fuel economy. This thing gave me 7.8 mpg, and that's nearly 3 hours of highway driving. Wasn't happy at all. My motor home (35') got the same mileage going to Central City, CO. So I needed to drive the diesel from San Antonio to Charleston, WV. Decided to try the chip. Watched lots of YouTube videos on installing it, as well as best settings, etc. Chip installed very easily, and so far I've tested positions 1 through 4. That's right, I've never run the 100 or 140 hp settings, and don't plan on it. Remember I said 358000 miles! So I was hoping for the 3 mpg boost from this chip, thinking it'd pay for itself in one round trip from San Antonio to Charleston, WV. With the truck loaded down with wood slabs, a fireplace and grill, I averaged 15.7 mpg running at 70 MPH average. Tested it at the 75 hp setting at 65 MPH and got just over 19 mpg. I'm totally blown away by this increase, and the chip paid for itself already, and that's just 1 way! The extra horsepower is nice too, but when you're watching fuel economy, every mpg extra is more $ in your pocket. I absolutely love this thing and can't fathom why everyone who drives a diesel doesn't chip it. The folks who build these vehicles should be ashamed of themselves for not doing this at the factory.

Update: If you drive a 7.3L Excursion DO NOT BUY THIS KIT. After 6 hrs at my base auto shop and the opinions and assistance of 2 full time techs I decided to take the kit to a 4.9/5 rated performance muffler shop. This is what 50 years combined exhaust-pro experience discovered. PAY ATTENTION, Head my warning, let me save you a lot of frustration.1) 4 of the 5 hangars it came are completely incompatible with the factory exhaust mounts that you are required to use. They are either too long, too short or have ears that don’t reach out far enough. CUSTOM HANGARS WILL NEED TO BE MADE FROM THE GARBAGE Diamond Eye provides. Preferably welded directly to the pipe in precisely the correct position.2) The “S pipe” that plugs in after your down pipe under the front seat isn’t going to work. This pipe WILL NEED EXTENSIVE MODIFICATIONS TO INCLUDE USE OF A CHOP SAW AND A WELDER. You need to cut one of the flared ends off the double butted pipe and weld it onto the s-pipe. This must be done in order to connect the “hoop” pipe that goes over rear axle.3) the “hoop” pipe won’t work. IT NEEDS EXTENSIVE ODIFICATIONS TO INCLUDE THE CUTTING OF ABOUT 4 INCHES OFF THE REAR MOST PART OF IT. If not then it will interfere with the brake hard line on the pass side of real axle and cause the tail pipe to be about 10 inches below the quarter panel.4) the tail pipe does not work. IT NEEDS EXTENSIVE MODIFICATIONS TO INCLUDE CUTTING ABOUT 3 INCHES OFF THE FLARED END OTHER WISE IT WILL INTEREFERE WITH THE REAR AXLE AND HANG ABOUT 10 INCHES TOO LOW UNDER THE QUARTER PANEL.5) All but 1 of the 5 brackets was an epic design failure. The front most hangar works, sort of. the rest OF THE HANGARS REQUIRE EXTENSIVE MODIFICATIONS AND CUSTOMIZATION TO INCLUDE LENGHTENING, SHORTENING AND SIGNIFICANT FABRICATIONS WITH A WELDER.6) the clamps provided are about 1/4” too narrow and will not work without crushing the butt joints. YOU WILL NEED TO BUY SEPERATLEY QUANTITY OF 1, 4-INCH, STRAP STYLE, STAINLESS BUTT CLAMP TO ATTACH THE DOWN PIPE TO THE S-PIPE. It costs about $13 and a few selections get prime shipping. All other joints should be welded, the pipes are too heavy and too long to trust friction clamps.Old review below.pro: its inexpensive. its impressively larger than the stock system.con: The directions for the no-muffler install don't exist. The instructions for the muffler install are so poorly thought out it seems they've been translated thru 5 foreign languages before put into english. There are ZERO illustrations showing what looks like what and where. The bracketry included is a freaking joke and there is simply no way the kit should hang 8 inches lower than stock. The clamps don't fit around the pipe joints without bending and denting the pipes so you will NEVER get the pipes apart again. I paid $220 for this headache. Wish I had just paid more and gone with the Magnaflow because it looks like a much higher quality kit.bottom line: Pay somebody to install this nightmare or just buy the Magnaflow. I wish I had.
Well friends and neighbors lets talk about an exhaust kit from Diamond Eye. I was on the hunt for an economically priced four inch turbo back exhaust with out one of those pesky mufflers in it. To Amazon I went to find a kit, a 2000 Excursion with a compression ignition engine is what needed hydrocarbons expelled. I ordered this very kit and to my amazement it arrived a day early. I inspected the shipment and found no damage! As the install began I found myself eating my words that "The down pipe is easier to install on the Superduty style four hundred and forty five inch compression ignition Ford" but alas the pipe did not conquer me. With the down pipe installed it was on to the s pipe. A wonderful piece with a questionable hanger choice allocated for it. But with some shortening of the horizontal leg first two hanger brackets everything seemed to be going well. I put in the O.A. pipe to measure the length for the extension pipe and got the cut right on the first time. The tail pipe fit well and was easy to trim on the S.U.V. to allow for Installation of a big chrome shiny thing. So long story short, it fits a 2000 Ford Excursion with a 7.3 diesel and a 4" lift. I only needed a chop saw, torch (to put a new bend in the shortened brackets), and a sawzall. All the pieces fit and I did not need a welder. I did not use the provided U-bolts to seal ANY of the joint, I bought six (one for the tip) preformed stainless steel clamps for that. All the hangers can be installed and not used on a joint if you want. It ain't rocker surgery folks, it's just a bolt on exhaust for an old diesel S.U.V.Love the kit, it's the second Diamond Eye I've installed. They both really make that dual turbine "muffler" up near heads sing.
Great sounding exhaust. No drone at any speed with straight pipe. Easy install and pretty straight forward for those who are mechanically inclined. Down pipe is a tight fit but it will go in. Helps to have someone line up the band clamp on the turbo though while you hold it in place from underneath. Also make sure you take out your passenger side rear shackle bolt and flip it around. If you ever plan on replacing shackles it won't come out unless exhaust is removed or bent up in my case. Ugh. I forgot to do it and the shop couldn't get the bolt out until I told them to cut it and slam it out the other way. Unfortunately their tech had already dented the exhaust. Not enough to do much though. But irritating none the less. Other than that great exhaust. I pointed mine black with high temp black paint before install. Looks great and bakes on.

Installed a fuel pressure gauge after it happened, to keep an eye on it. Then drove it for a year keeping it above half tank, but I should've fixed it sooner: for discovered a stack of black remnants in pickup line. When helpers blew supply line pump - back, a nice let-go pffft was audible.I can imagine paying a repair shop, then n proper fashion, a partially clogged line leads to another roadside. It happens.Videos exist on procedure, and note: mine had 7/16in vent hoses, one front, one rear on top I was unaware of, which hung up removal process a tad.Anyway, good part, proper fit etc.
The OEM part was in pieces when we removed the tank to replace the sending unit. So we tried to locate the part locally (Houston, Tx. area), and had no luck. Could not find this part anywhere and like others stated, found it on Amazon.com. This part fits inside the front fuel tank (diesel) of a 1991 F250 and fit perfectly and sits exactly on the bottom of the fuel tank. The truck has two fuel tanks. The part is a little flexible and will compress slightly to fit on the bottom of the fuel tank. I also put a hose clamp on this to keep the fuel from possibly knocking it off when the fuel level is low, but I don't think that will happen because the fit was so good.Price was good. Will order this when the rear tank no longer picks up from the bottom. If your fuel gauge is reading between 1/4 and 1/2 and you run out of fuel, it is not the gauge. The OEM part has broken apart and is only picking up fuel to where this part attaches to.
I tried to do it the cheap way by clamping a fish-mouthed hose onto the stock line. It didn't work. I'm not sure if I had a kink in it (doubt it), or was sucking up something (the tank looked spotless inside and free of debris - maybe a dead bug?), but my fuel pressure gauge was not happy. Without the fuel pressure gauge I would have had no idea I had a problem, the engine never skipped a beat (12 valve Cummins installed in my 97 Ford).Rather than re-invent something that worked, I just spent the money on this. Installed it, no hose clamp needed as the bottom of the tank prevents it from falling off. Now I'm back to a perfect 30+ psi from idle to wide open.
