I had to post this because If I could rate this 0 stars I would. The unit worked great until it died. Yes there is a 5-year warranty but you have to write a check (yes a physical check) to the company to cover the cost of any upgrades made to the product line since your unit was made. Additionally, the warranty process is ridiculous so good luck getting your unit back. It has now been two months and still not had my unit sent back.....
I attached my cheepo float charger to maintain my 74 Honda CB360 battery. OOPS, dummy me forgot to plug in the charger! Three months later not only is the battery dead, also 2 of the cells are BONE dry. I put in distilled water to raise the 12Amp "flooded wet cell" liquid level to midpoint between the lines at the top. I attached a Fluke voltmeter and saw 3 volts, ouch - 50 or so for a new battery. I thought of my G3500 V2 (with "repair") and thought "why not". To my surprise it started to charge - took a mighty long time - about 14 hours on low setting. Next I ran "repair" till a green light (about 4 hours). As there was some "condensed solids" at the bottom of some cells, I made a marathon effort. I alternated between repair and low charge for three days, slowly as the bubbles rose; the solids dissolved and the bottom cleared. I was stunned. Would it start the long sitting cycle, and if so would the charge last at least a week? YES to both!! Frankly, I was 99% on the way to just ordering a new battery. I probably would but for the fact that my ancient 74 bike has a "kick starter". I am delighted with what the G3500 V2 did. A click on "this was helpful" would be appreciated.
If I had written his review yesterday I would have given it 5 stars. It has worked spectacularly. This said, today I was charing my truck battery. All was fine, when I looked out to see smoke coming out of my hood. The thing was fully on fire! I am so lucky I saw it in time. I could have started a serious fine. I am hoping I can get my money back, but I don't even know what the warranty is.This thing is dangerous!

I purchased the NOCO Genius G7200 from Auto TrenDs in late October 2016. I "repaired" an old battery that was in a work truck that had been sitting for over a year. The battery is still working to this day so the NOCO did the trick. However, when i got the charger out to charge my boat battery the first week in May it didnt work. There was a high pitch sound coming from the NOCO. It wouldn't charge the battery. I got one use out of this $90 charger. I am attempting to return the unit to the Amazon seller Auto TrenDs, so far they have not responded.
I have several other brands but I was sold on the sophistication of this one in protecting expensive batteries. However, this device puts out RF spurious emissions that significantly interfere from below the AM broadcast band all the way up through 6 meters (500khz - 50 mhz) which is the entire HF + spectrum! I am a HAM radio operator and shortwave enthusiast and since setting this up on my superduty truck on the other end of my property every-single-one of my radios under VHF have been flooded with so much interference they were completely unusable. So I went on a treasure hunt to triangulate on the source and it lead me straight to my NOCO Genius maintainer. Pulled the plug and all went quiet again. I'm not talking about a range of 20 feet, this thing dominates the bands from well over 300 feet and I don't mean with just big amateur antennas, but with even a simple transistor radio with built in ferite core antenna. Needless to say with my ham antennas all radios on all amateur antennas were plastered with these emissions. For jollies I placed a frequency counter next to the charger and hooked it back up and readings were all over the spectrum. In initializing the charger it begins down in the am portion of the band and progressively sweeps above 30 mhz as it cycles through the various charging levels. Even more curious I hooked up an oscilloscope to the battery to monitor the charger and observed wild sporadic swings as the charger did it's thing. This issue may not be of concern to many people. But since it's a maintainer and it's designed to be left plugged in it will cause your location to be a source of spurious emissions around your entire neighborhood. While my testing shows that this device creams everything below 6 meter (~50mhz), no interference was detected in the FM broadcast range (90mhz +), and 2m, 70cm, over air TV etc are all ok.Although this device is not intended to be an rf transmitter, it obviously is modulating. Since it is a maintainer and not just a charger and meant to be left plugged in and hooked up, it is useless to me as a maintainer. For this reason I'm giving it a lousy 1 star.
I bought this back in Sept and today is the first occasion I've had to use it. The better half hasn't been driving her Mustang, and as a result the battery went dead. Completely dead. So I unboxed the Genius and hooked it up. Despite numerous attempts, the only light that would come on was the straight power light. I thought I had read something on here about it not working on a fully discharged battery, so I hooked up my Battery Tender and let it work for a few hours. Then there was enough juice in the battery for the Genius to work. It fully charged the battery in about 5 hours. So the description is misleading when it says it will charge a completely dead battery, because it will NOT. So I f this is your only battery charger and you have a fully discharged battery, you're out of luck. Which is not Genius, it's stupid. That's a glaring and unforgivable oversight for a $100 battery charger. Sometimes the old way is not so bad. If you buy the this battery charger, don't toss your old one. You may need the old low-tech dog to get this high-tech kid going.

I have 2 of these now. I run them all the time, with my arrma kraton serious power in these packs. Not 100% if the c-rating is true. But i dont think any lipo is. I have put at least 50 charges in each lipo and no issues. All cells are in great shape. And no puffing. In a soft pack I beat the hell out of I really expected them to die pretty quick. I will buy these again when mine do eventually die. Or I have a need for more then 2 6s lipo's
I have these for my 2018 6s Arrma Kraton and i am loving it, they come well packaged with thick 10AWG cables, the price for these is a Go in my book, i will be getting a 6 s on for my other 2018 6s Arrma Tailon. This battery does its job 50c/discharge 100c/burst and its been three days now since i charged them
Not awhile ago, actually last week I purchased 4 x 6S 5000mAh 50-100C from HRB Power.Nice batteries! 👍👍👍I tested them on 3 of my planes last Saturday.Plane 1 - E-Flite Carbon Z T-28, 5min flight, full performance, lots of vertical maneuvers.Battery came back warm , 25% charge left(22.5V)Plane 2 - Freewing 90mm Yak-130, 3min flight,Mostly on WOT (for show) same result, battery was warm and 20% charge left.Plane 3 - Freewing 80mm MiG-21, 3min 30sec flight time, also lots of high speed low passes.20% charge left .No issues with batteries, good quality, affordable price.Would I recommend? Using as a second battery for my audio system in my truck. Works great and keeps the lights from dimming and voltage from dropping. Will add two more soon, to finish the setup. Well worth the investment and better then caps. I would highly recommend this item.
Was really surprised by how these little batteries have helped. I currently have 3400 true rms in my truck. I needed a little more power than my exide agm starting battery had. I’ve been running these two batteries as cap backup for the main battery on a stock 100 alternator. I have played the sound system for more than hr at half volume and not had starting issues. If you need a little xtra like I did these little things are a must. Would highly recommend.
I used for music battery, the thing I like the most is the quick recovery after hard bass note I’m getting 14.3 volts continuous after bass drop no lower than 13.8 I’m pioneer 9601 class d

Simply crud-grade quality from optima -Background: I was originally kind of an Optima fanboy. Have had one, well four, actually, in the GMC Sierra over the last six years (IIRC). Two of those have been warranty replacements. First battery (parts store purchase), the battery died around one year. Second battery, the first warranty replacement battery, the case started swelling up. Removed from fear of rupture. Third battery bought from Amazon, for some strange, unexplained reason, the pos terminal started weeping acid (I know, It's an AGM battery - should be no loose acid to leak out, but there it was, leaking). Amazon replaced that one under warranty after initially saying it was not covered and then a short argument as to what the warranty coverage actually was. That one is two years old and it died a couple of weeks ago. I can charge it, but it only holds charge for a few days now before voltage falls off to below 12 V.IMHO, quality in recent years is not in line with that originally established by Optima. Seems to be trading on an old, outdated reputation.Note that this review covers the performance of this line over several years, not how it performs within a week of install.I've put my final bit of worry (and money) into Optima batteries.
The Optima battery line is GARBAGE. They do not perform like they used to. Do NOT fall into this scam. I bought this battery and 2 years down the line it has a dead cell. Won't hold a charge longer than a week. Not worth the money anymore. Buy local so you can get your warranty coverage. Complete garbage. 150$ for this?!?! and at the time of writing this review the price is even higher at 242$!!!!! It looks like a great product but is an absolute failure now.
Absolute junk. Ordered 2 within a year ago. 1 was bad when delivered. Was sent another and now less than a year later it went bad. I am pulling teeth trying to get it replaced under warranty, 3 years as advertised. My truck has been down for a week now and am ready to give up buying things like this on line. Back to the box store I guess?
