Incredible value for the money.Great quality videos, acceptable photos, fully waterproof, good menu, plenty of accessories.** Amazon compressed the video. It looks awesome on my computer **Why did I choose the Akaso Brave?1. Akaso has a better website (and hopefully support/warranty) compared other action cams I see on Amazon.2. Olympus Tough TG-5 (amazing camera) was outside my budget.3. GoPro Hero was way outside my budget.4. Most waterproof cameras under $400 are mixed with bad reviews indicating leakage. This camera is with me & the wife right now in Hawaii celebrating our ten year anniversary! It has done a great job across several hours of salt water snorkeling, exploring beautiful pools, and adventuring in bamboo forests. The wireless was relatively straightforward so I could transfer the photos and videos to my iPhone easily. Here's some extra stuff I bought:1. Flow by microJib ... floating, extendable handle. Worth every penny. Best one I could find.https://www.amazon.com/Flow-MicroJib-Waterproof-Extendable-Floating/dp/B01MXHWWUA2. Shoot waterproof diving light (works great; I have not submerged more than 5 feet underwater)3. Samsung EVO 32GB microSD4. Tekcam waterproof case (an extra, just in case, have not yet tested)5. Extra batteries (two original batteries have each given me about 40 minutes of good use so far, so I have not tested new batteries)When I need it handy, I store the Flow handle, my flash, and action cam (all connected ready to go) inside of two big socks. What don't I like about this camera?1. No lens protector 🙁 so be careful to store your plastic waterproof case in a sock!2. No ability to buy extra cases from the manufacturer (had to by 3rd party).3. Included Remote control is not waterproof/submersible; there is no way to buy replacements from manufacturer.4. Not quite the same quality as GoPro or Olympus TG-5 (but close for most people, and costs much less).5. Photos: not nearly the same quality as iPhone or Samsung Android, but still acceptable.6. Less support, no user manual, etc. Here are some tips (for most people):1. See my attached photo for how to insert microSD.2. The screen will shut off to save battery. Tap the down button to turn it back on. (when snorkeling, for example)3. When in video recording mode, tap the down arrow to turn microphone on or off.4. In the menu, 1080 30 fps is a great high-quality video choice.5. In the menu, 5M or 8M will be decent for images/photos, for most people. (Larger values increase the storage size & print size).6. In the menu, turn OFF the loop recording, date stamp, motion detection, and beep sound. (for most people)7. In the menu, set Auto Off to 10 minutes (for snorkeling/ adventuring).8. In the menu, set Quality to fine.9. In the menu, play around with Angle. Wider angles can be more fisheye for objects on the edge, but wide is great for snorkeling.10. Yes you CAN delete photos/videos from the preview mode on screen. Hold the up arrow and push the enter button on top; you will be prompted what to delete.Overall I am super super pleased.Incredible value, easy to use.Great videos and acceptable photos. Lots of features and accessories. This review is sincere. If the action cam disappoints in the future, I'll update my review.
I’ve been wanting a GoPro for awhile now for bike and quad riding but couldn’t spent the money they want for them. So I looked into action cams. Found this one for a great price and although it didn’t have a lot of reviews the ones it did have were good. So I pulled the trigger and purchased it. Im really glad I did too. It literally comes with everything you would ever need. All the mounts and cases. A remote for your wrist waterproof case. The only thing you need to buy is a class 10 micro SD card. I has tons of features and real easy too use. The video quality is amazing at 4K and the pictures look great to. Some of the features is time lapse and motion sensing. This action camera has it all. Also has WiFi to connect to your cell phone via an app available through the App Store or play store. Comes with two batteries so you will always have power. Can’t say how happy I am with this.
I used this camera recently on a snorkeling trip and it worked very well. The video quality is great and photos turned out nice as well. My first few photos with this camera had a slight purplish caste, but I’m thinking the lens may have been foggy. If you’re using it in a humid environment be sure to let this camera (or any camera) acclimate for a several minutes.Overall I’m very happy with the quality in video and photos. I’m not super impressed with the video stabilization. I didn’t notice a difference once I switched this feature on, which is slightly frustrating because I paid more specifically for this feature. Another thing to note is that the wide angle lens may require adjusting to, because I noticed my finger showing up in the side of most of my photos and videos. I reduced the angle slightly and problem solved. One more bonus is the size; I could easily fit this in my small bag or pocket which made it great for travel and excursions.Last but not least, the WiFi on the camera works great. I recommend using the CamKing app for downloading photos and videos. It was quick and I had no issues. Connectivity was easy and short videos (2-3 minutes) were downloaded in approximately 20-30 seconds.

I upgraded from the Akaso EK7000 cam to this (the EK7000 Pro). While they are similar, this one packs a punch. The 4k video looks better and this one is a touchscreen!.Size-wise, they are almost identical. The EK7000 PRO fits perfectly in all the accessories I already have for my original one but this one still comes with a ton of accessories and mounts for various surfaces. You can set the light settings depending on where you will be shooting video, but the camera also does it on it's own if you don't want to mess with that. Going from darker to light or vice-versa has quick transitions and even shooting in low-light conditions were still extremely viewable.Of course, this one is also waterproof and while it doesn't come with a memory card, they can be found on amazon for cheap. You can control the camera through the on-board controls, the included wireless remote, and even download the apps from Google Play or Apple Store. I can't vouch for the android options, but there are multiple apps for this on the Apple Store. They all work well - save videos directly to your phone, or delete them off the memory card from the app itself.
I'm not going to write a lot about things most reviewers have already covered so I'm just going to provide some tips. I mostly use it for cycling.1 : Battery life will last about 37-40 minute if you use the best settings and features while recording. Recording at lower resolution, no stabilizer and warm weather will get you an hour+ of battery life. ( cold weather limits all batteries)2. The cable that hooks to the battery charger can be connected to the camera and will allow you to download all your media to the computer. It's much faster than wifi with large videos.3. When in the case the audio recording is not good due to the microphone being blocked. Best solution is to record audio to a separate device and sync to the video later. Or hold the camera and not use the case at all. (This is the case for any brand of action camera.)4. Heat! Direct sunlight in the summer months for a long period of time can cause over heating issues with the camera and you could lose your recording if it randomly shuts off. Try to find a way to keep it shaded. (This is the case for any brand of action camera.)5. The knobs used for the accessories are hard to get tight enough by hand. You can use some pliers and tighten them just enough to keep it in position. But don't over do it. It's just plastic :)Enjoy! It's a fun camera!
Pros: 4K video and 16 MP photos work perfectly. Wide/Mid and normal angle modes work as designed. Sound records as it should (don't expect it to be loud inside the waterproof enclosure). Works underwater as it says, while using the waterproof case. The remote control is redesigned and works perfectly. Touchscreen is very responsive and simple to navigate. Wifi mode connects quickly and the ability to control the camera with your phone is a handy feature (need to download the iSMART DV app). There is an adequate selection of starter accessories to get you started and the batteries last a respectable enough amount of time and recharge quickly. Image stabilization and other features are a nifty upgrade to less expensive models.Cons: The battery cover is a bit poorly designed and I have cracked the piece you need to use to open the hatch on both cameras I have.

The camera it self is excellent. The WiFi portion of this system and the app that goes with this system are a major no go. The WiFi is a major failure. Do Not buy the Fire Cam 1080p with WiFi. The WiFi doesn't stayed connected and the app doesn't work unless you have the WiFi up and running. I wouldn't recommend buying this camera with the WiFi. I would highly recommend buying the camera independently of the WiFi. I rate the WiFi portion of this camera as 1 star. I rate the camera on this scale as 5 stars
Ok when you charge it it errors out if there is no SD card in it. However, when the SD card is in and youre charging it starts taking video and then fills the card. Then you go to a fire and it doesn't run because the card is full! Good grief does anyone make products with software that works?Missed my first real interior fire footage because of software nerds. In addition if mounted below the brim the top 1/3 or so is clipped by your helmet and the visor distorts the image when down. If mounted on top the brim you cant access the on-off button and the visor interferes with the image. The whole mounting scheme is not well thought out. Also, several times even when I had a fresh battery in the unit and space on the SD card it starts turning itself off during an incident. So far in 3 fire calls its missed all relevant action. Kind of a big disappointment for a product that is over $200.
Great product. The picture is extremely clear. I only gave a 4 Star because the “WiFi” doesn’t work well. The app doesn’t work like you would want it to. Save your money and buy just the regular 1080p version. Other than my WiFi gripe the camera all in all is awesome. Had it for months now and it’s taken a beating and still does great. Highly recommend.

Inexpensive HD cam. This is a factual description. The audio is useless, and it's not waterproof as described on the product label. It's not even water-resistant. First, let me go over the good points.PROS:* The video quality is what I would expect of an inexpensive device storing video feeds at 720 and 1080, it's sharp enough and fluid enough to be useful ([email protected], which I like, and [email protected] which is great). Great if you want evidence for liability (ie, motorcycle cam)* The ease of switching between 720/1080 via a switch* The wide angle lense captures the picture clearly* Lots of attachments to get you goingNow, here's the CONS:* It is NOT water proof or water resistant--the first time it encountered rain, it died. It could be turned back on but wouldn't stay on.* After just 1 ride with this camera on my helmet, it began to rattle inside--I presume the battery or something came loose. Keep in mind, I'm not riding a dirt bike across singletrack jumping anything. I'm on a BMW with electronic dampened suspension. The device simply has a quality issue. Most likely the buffetting from wind is what brought this to my attention.* There is, for lack of better description, no useful audio. The pickup device is directly in the path of wind, so if you're moving, you will only hear wind. At a standstill it was not useful either, you could only hear muffled voices even when the person was 1 foot away from you while recording.
Purchased it for use on my fire helmet to take video to be used as training. Specific "fire service" cameras can be hundreds of dollars and I thought I'd use this first and give it a try.Turned out pretty well and has taken quiet the beating over the last year or so. Worked so well I bought a second one for my second job. Even after buying two its cost me less then one marketed for firefighter use.Overall I'm pretty impressed with the camera. The instructions are almost unintelligible from the translation but it's a pretty straight forward use and with some common sense you can figure it out.
Good:1. Looks very high tech, and will impress anyone who sees it.2. Compact design (not to heavy when mounted on a helmet).3. Solid handle bar mount.Bad:1. Absolutely terrible white balance. Not usable in artificial lighting. OK in bright sunlight.2. Just about zero night vision. The camera requires a lot of light. If the sky is overcast, the video will be dark.3. Dynamic range is terrible. The camera is easily saturated.4. The vibration is annoying. It can be heard at the beginning of every video. If I could figure out how to disassemble it, I would remove the vibration motor.5. Sound is about average for a bullet type sport cam.6. You can set the date, by changing the content of the Time.txt. The file contains the text "2017-01-01 10:00:0000". You can change it, then save it. You can check that it has changed. But once you try to record, the time just reverts back to the default.7. Pressing the button near the lens sets the mode. I have observed three modes. The recording mode. The connect to your PC mode. The last is the battery run down mode, where the vibrator runs until the battery is dead or you press the reset button.8. The manual is not readable. It is poorly translated form Chinese.9. The function of the red and blue LED's are not explained. The blue one appears to indicate that the power is on. The red one must mean it is busy booting, or recording. Maybe it is the charge indicator. I am not sure.10. Keep a paper clip handy, because you will have to reset it often.

everything came in just as stated. was a little skeptical at first as i had never had a camera that was so easy to use. put it on my granddaughters helmet and let her walk around the house and ride her bike, to my surprise the video was exceptional and the sound was terrific. would recommend this camera for anyone looking for a gopro at a much cheaper price. bought it to take on a motorcycle trip to washington dc in may for memorial day and can't wait.
I don't like the 10 min intervals of recording. I mounted it on the cab of my demolition derby car and it kept recording after my car took a beating. Overall I'm very impressed with it. The quality was good and the sound was great. The video quality looks and sounds better on a computer or tv. This is a very basic camera which makes it easy to use. I would recommend it over a GoPro. I didn't use the WiFi connection to record.
I was a little concerned with the low price point since this was a gift for my son who is in the Air Force in Japan. He wanted to replace his GoPro that was lost. He absolutely loves this camera and all the accessories that came with it. He says the quality is on par with the GoPro and absolutely loves it.
