These pants appear to be a knock off from the same Wrangle pants sold in Walmart. I bought two pairs of these pants in Walmart and they are much better quality fabric and are made in Guatemala. These pants from Amazon are made in Bangladesh and the material is paper thin. I will go back to Walmart next time to be sure I am getting what I pay for.
Absolute garbage. If you work in an office or something similar they're fine they fit great they feel awesome. If you actually work outside they are trash I've had them for a month both pairs are in the garbage the crotch tore out in both pairs. one pair tore out the crotch I tried to get them sewed ended up tearing again all the way down to the knee the materials thin, materials trash. if you're actually planning on working in these things dont, get something different.
I've gotten some of my best cargos from Wrangler, some not as good. The design of this style, with the extra cell pockets behind each cargo pocket, is terrific; my favorite design. It allows for lots of storage, good organization (lots o' pockets), and short-term storage in the cell pockets for phones, headsets, etc.The only issue is what someone else mentioned: quality control, consistency. The style was great, but the fabric was thinner than a previous pair and the cut, by size, skimpier. These were tight, though acceptable. We'll see if the thinner fabric wears as well as their more robust earlier line. Also, I love this style, but nowhere in the product description do they mention the extra cell pockets; I read that from an Amazon reviewer way down the page and jumped on an order. I'd ordered others described exactly the same, but they came without those pockets. One previous pair had one, not two, of the extra pockets. This is true even on their own site. Wrangler needs to communicate better. They must care about what sells and why.So:size/fit = B-,material = C (this time around),product description = C-,design = A+

Get more for your money from this comfortable, good-looking utility pant. It's built of sturdy fabric for hard wear and easy care. The flattering flat front looks sharp wherever work takes you--field to the office, back shop to the back yard. Tradesmen swear by the 874's comfort and durability;...

Dickies... you are starting to breaking my heart. I have been ferociously loyal to you ever since I discovered your Original work pants back in 2010; I have always found your Original work pants to be comfortable, easy to care for and durable. The last three pairs I have purchased probably puts my grand total up over ten pairs.However... I am beginning to notice an issue with the consistency of the waist size. I am a 32" waist, I know this because if I take a tailor's measuring tape and wrap it around my waist the starting ends meets the rest of the tape at, you guessed it, the 32" mark. I mention this standard unit of measure because the last three pairs of pants I have purchased from you have not, in fact, been sized/manufactured/labeled correctly. Three pairs ago was a pair of 32x32 (my size for the last 6 years in these pants) and they were way too tight in the waist, I couldn't even imagine trying to go to work in those. So a quick return and I order two pairs of 33x32, thinking that maybe your specs have changed over the last year or so. Well, much to my disappointment these two pairs of pants aren't even uniform with one another: one is a true 33" waist but the other is LESS than 32" in the waist - it's like 31.5"! So shame on me because I removed the tags of the second pair before I put them on, so now I can't return them.Like I said, generally speaking I really like this product and will likely order more of these pants in the future, but please fix whatever it is that's going on to effect your consistency is such a negative way.
I ordered and received 3 pairs of ChinosAll the same day. Here are the results1 ~ IZOD Men's American Chino Flat Front Pant, Black, 36W x 32LThese are 100% Cotton and fit exactly the same as all my 36W x 32 L Wrangler jeans. love them. Perfect fit, perfect weight of fabric and all cotton. The perfect Chino.2 `~ Amazon Essentials Men's Classic-Fit Wrinkle-Resistant Flat-Front Chino Pant 36 x 32These are 60% Cotton, 40% Polyester and fit TIGHTER than the Izod. The fabric is of the same thickness as the IZOD. My main complaint is they fit too tight and the waist rolls over. That doesn't happen wtih the IZOD3 ~ Dickies Men's Original 874 Work Pant 36 x 32 These are 65% Polyester/35% Cotton. The fabric of this product is MUCH thicker than the IZOD and the Amazon Essentials. More like a thin Bluejean than a Chino. The MAIN problem is, I CAN'T GET THESE ON. The fit is SO tight I cannot CLOSE them no matter what I do. I tried lying on my bed, letting all my breath out and I STILL can't close them. This is REALLY a pathetic fit. As I said, I bought ALL three items on the same day and tried them before and after one washing for fit.SO, in my opinion, because of the VERY TIGHT FIT and the coarse and thicker fabric, I would say STAY AWAY from this item. The Amazon Essentials are good. Just wish the fit was a little looser in the waist compared to what they sent. The BEST of the bunch is the IZOD Men's American Chino Flat Front Pant. PERIODThe Dickies and Amazon brand are about 20 bucks each,The IZOD is $25 bucks.GO FOR THE EXTRA 5 BUCKS! and get the IZOD.
Perfect for work in the Food and Beverage industry, retail, deli, meat cotter, etc... One small sizing note... I wear 34" waist in most everything... I ordered that size first and they almost cut me in half trying to get through the whole day. Very tight in the waist, but fit nicely in the butt, crotch and thighs. So, I ordered the next size up, these 36" inch ones thinking they should fit better. Well, the waist was good. And let me be clear, I am an actual 34" waist guy... I am not in denial and not trying to jam a beer gut into pants that just aren't my size... These run small in the waist. With that said, when Dickies goes from a 34" waist to the 36" waist, they make EVERYTHING bigger. The waist fits great. The butt area was literally twice the size. So, I can breath now, but I have 80 year old man ass.Lastly and on a more positive note... These are built amazingly. They will last you a long time. They are super high quality, the pockets are cut perfectly, they hold a crease and look like new after every wash with no ironing.

Here is the thing, not sure why no one else mentioned this? I'm an old man that bought pants for over 60 years now, I could not find one single pair I ever owned that had a (4" Fly Zipper!) OMG! when you try to pee the bottom of the zipper cuts into your penis! WTH were they thinking?, every pair of paints I've ever owned has a 5" zipper, go measure yours and see, I guess they saved a nickle cutting one inch out of the standard zipper length! Or maybe a female designed these? I love the extra large pockets! I can put several things of all sizes in them, the cell pocket fits my larger phone, everything else but the zipper is what I wanted. I took the pants to a tailor, paid him $10.00 to put in a 5" zipper that should have been there to begin with! {:^)-{{{----[
My favorite pair of pants.I had a pair of the wal-mart knock off's for the longest time because I needed something quick and fast so I bought them while shopping one day, and they are still being worn... at least, until I decided to purchase the real thing. The only complaint I have about these is the cheap velcro on the pockets. How do you give us a button fly, and cheap velcro on the pockets. It's not even strong or well stitched. I suspect this being a problem after a while. Also, my s8 does not fit in the cell phone pocket, which is okay, because I will never put my phone in that sort of pocket anyways. But in case you do, it may not fit. It is plenty wide, perfect in fact. But not long enough. If they raised the pocket up a bit and out of the cargo pocket area, it would be cool. Also one on the left would make sense, instead of just one on the right. They should also have a small button for those pockets too. Those two things aside, I still think they are worth 4 stars. I love the feel and simplicity, as well as the fit. I could wear these every day. I do wish they had more colors and those things I listed, but I still recommend them. They are not hard starched like regular dickies in case you are wondering. Very soft and lightweight.
It's difficult to find decent cargo pants for work, so I stocked up when I found these. Between multiple cell phones, wallet, keys, and other stuff I carry, I really need all those pockets. These pants are very durable, and they look good enough to wear casually. It's also nice to have a choice of colors beyond the usual navy blue and khaki. TIP: The "Regular" in the name means a regular (slim) cut. I already knew this because I bought my first pair from a store where I tried them on. The store only had these, not the "relaxed" cut style, which they also make. I can usually do a 34 waist in a relaxed cut, but I need 36 for these.

I bought two pairs of these pants for my husband for work. He's a professional gardener, so he needs pants that are durable enough to hold up to dirt, snags, and all sorts of rough use while also allowing him to have a good range of motion and flexibility. These pants seem like they will do the job. He has not worn them to work yet because it is the off season for him, but the material seems much more durable than his other work pants that kept ripping. As the person who has spent countless hours patching and repatching his work pants, sometimes on a weekly basis, extra durable fabric is a must, and the reinforced knees (mid-thigh to mid-calf) are a wonderful, added bonus (a gift to myself, really). He also was able to sit, bend, kneel, and squat comfortable in them. The legs and hip areas were loose enough for comfort and range of motion, while the waist (38) fit perfectly. I can't really comment on the fit of the waist compared to other pants because he has lost 25 lbs since we bought his last pair of pants in a different brand, so I had no idea what size he was when I ordered; I just bought a couple different sizes based on my best guess. They seemed a bit long when he first tried them on (he is 6' 3", and I ordered the 36" length, his normal pants length), but the length was perfect when he had his work boots on. For color, I bought one pair in black and the other in loden. They are both nice colors that seem perfect for hiding dirt stains. I have to return the loden because it is too big (size 40), but I will replace it with one in the same color.UPDATE 4/11/2018: Since I left my first review, I have ordered four more pairs of these pants because they are so comfortable and durable. He now works on a landscaping crew that gets contracts fixing people' yards after the electric company has dug them up, so he's hauling a lot of dirt and often gets on his hands and knees installing sod. He also sometimes works with the tree crews to clean up brush, so his clothes are often getting snagged by tree branches and sticks as well. He only has six pairs of these pants, so each one has been worn about once a week (sometimes more) for over a year now, and they're barely showing wear. There are a some tiny spots on each pair where the fabric looks a tiny bit frayed or thinner than the surrounding fabric, but nothing worth getting my sewing machine out yet. Most of the spots are on the usual areas, like the hem or on the double knees (still my favorite feature). Some areas of the pants are a bit faded (knees, mostly), but that's the least of our concerns. He says the pants have been very comfortable in all aspects of his job, though they do get hot during the summer, but he figures he's going to be hot regardless while working in the sun. In the winter, he wears a pair of long underwear from Eddie Bauer underneath for extra warmth. As the person who does the laundry, I can also say that they come pretty clean from the wash as well, without much effort on my part. I use about 2/3-3/4 of a cap of laundry detergent (versus half a cap for a normal load), and I don't fill the washer up as much as I normally would. I do give them a pre-wash sometimes if they're literally caked in dried up mud, but that's it.BTW, for those wondering about the "Dirt Drop Vents" on the double knees, when you're working in dirt on your knees, small dirt particles can work their way through the fabric and get trapped between the fabrics of the double knees, so it's good to have the small slit of fabric to get out any trapped particles. Just make sure to shake them out before washing, or else you end up with mulch and small twigs in the lint catcher of your dryer...
Amazing pants, where do I start. One year ago I bought a pair of these pants at a local retailer because I really liked the pockets and that everything on them seemed reinforced. Even the inside of the front pockets are thicker than most other pairs of pants that I own. Over the last year, they were my go to pants. I pretty much wear them all the time, even if they are dirty because of the convenience these pants bring with the large cargo pocket and their little satellite pockets on the right sided cargo pocket. The thick leather (or leather like) reinforcement on the front right pocket keeps my expensive pocket knifes right there without the possibility of them falling out or losing them. The knees are reinforced, and have openings at the bottom so that you can slip padding up in if necessary. They have a hammer loop on the side. The back pockets have some kinda super duty reinforcement fabric that lines the pockets, and the tops of the back pockets are heavily reinforced. The cargo pockets are large enough that I can put a check book sized wallet in them and still close the pocket flap to secure the pocket's contents.I have roofed in them, cut down trees in them, crawled through dirt and sharp rocks in them, climbed mature oak trees for trimming purposes in them, walked through South Texas briers in them, did a lot of attic work in them, and pretty much everything else in between. I have accidentally cut them, and the cut never got bigger, just frayed a little bit. These pants are pretty much bomb proof as they say. I own many different high quality cargo pants, but these outperform them all. The reason I bought these was that, although still functional as the day I bought them, my wife started getting embarrassed to go out in public with me because of the way they were looking (paint, oil, epoxy stains, rips). Like I said, I wear them if I am just going out, or going to do some pretty gnarly work. I just hope that Wrangler continues to make these pants in the future, as I don't see myself wearing anything else. They are very comfortable and not too heavy of a fabric that rubs you the wrong way. They are roomy enough for air circulation, and awkward positions. If you get them, you will not be disappointed
Fits slightly larger, particularly leg length, than previous similar versions purchased within the U.K. However no real bother though with safety boots on. I really like the dark brown colour and the additional pockets great for edc!

The picture on left is the La police gear pant while the pant to the right is my work pants. My work pants for the Bureau of Prisons cost almost 70$. I’m already on a government shutdown.... these fit awesome. I’m tired of walking around in pants that make me feel like I’m wearing skinny jeans (some inmate might like it). I can now do a full round house kick without the warden noticing I’m wearing the wrong brand. I prepare myself for common sense and common sense says don’t wear tight pants in a fight, BUY THIS. They are great!!
As the headline suggests I do love these pants. The only flaw they have is the main pants button. About every other pair of these I have owned I have had to re-attach the button. They just do a really lazy and loose stitching to the button in what seems to be half the pants I own.I use to buy the LAPoliceGear basic elastic pants but I really have no use for the additional pockets so these fit the bill. They wont last as long as the more expensive numerically named brand but they do what they need to do for a very long time.Make sure you wash them inside out in cold water and hang dry if you can and you will get 2x the use out of this material. I still have a pair of LaPoliceGear Basic Elastics from 15 years ago.The stitching is quality, the fit is great. Not too baggy in the legs (I have huge legs though so maybe baggy on others). Plenty of crotch room and they just fit right.Im a 6 foot 265 lb guy with a gut and large thighs and calves.Length is true to size and waist is slightly larger. Pants work great up to a 2 inch wide gun belt. A little tight at the 2 inch belt so Id use a 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 but 2 will work if you have too.Cargo pockets are roomy and there are no real additional "tacti-cool" pockets.Use: Daily wear, photography, shooting, hiking, fishing, bacpacking.
I stopped purchasing 5.11s and started buying LAPD gear. Pants are well made and fit perfect, all for a great affordable price. I will continue to purchase more!
